More efficient glazing
More efficient windows allow for greater thermal comfort in buildings as well as a reduction in air and water infiltration and savings in energy bills.
The windows can have wooden, PVC or aluminum frames with thermal break, or a combination of them, and for the glazing , at least double glazing should be considered.
South facing areas opt for low-emissivity glass, which will help to reduce solar gains. Shading solutions (eg visors) or protections (eg blinds, shutters, etc.), preferably from the outside, may also be used.
