Renewable Energy Communities

Renewable Energy Communities (CER) use renewable energy from local sources to meet local energy needs.

Everyone can boost energy communities, from individuals, SMEs, even local authorities such as municipalities, parish councils, etc. According to the Renewable Energy Directive (Directive (EU) 2018/2001), its main objective is to provide its shareholders, members or the localities where it operates, with environmental, economic and social benefits instead of financial profits.
