Porto Energy Hub aims to support energy efficiency and renewable energy projects free of charge to mitigate energy poverty and improve living conditions (comfort and health) in the North region.
Having its initial focus on the Porto Metropolitan Area north of the Douro River (AMP-ND), the Porto Energy Hub intends to extend its support to the entire Northern Region and to other territories that wish to benefit from this approach.
The Porto Energy Hub will function as a One-Stop-Shop for integrated services (One-Stop-Shop) that will support the implementation of energy efficiency measures, through support in the identification of business models, financing to be used and contractual models .
The project intends to implement mechanisms that
contribute to the realization of actions related to:
ENERGY EFFICIENCY
Improvement of housing conditions in AMP-ND through energy rehabilitation interventions, namely in terms of insulation of the surroundings, improvement of the efficiency of glazed openings, replacement of air conditioning equipment and others with more efficient equipment, and replacement of lighting with LED.
RENEWABLE ENERGY
Promotion of local production of electrical energy through the use of renewable energy sources;
Promotion of Renewable Energy Communities for the local production of electricity from renewable energy sources, in systems shared by several users in the community.
