Matosinhos Energy Hub opens to support the citizens of the municipality

The new space opened in Matosinhos to advise citizens on the subjects of energy efficiency and renewable energies. It is called “Matosinhos Energy Hub” and aims to support the citizens of that municipality to mitigate energy poverty and improve thermal comfort at home.

 

This one-stop shop (One-Stop-Shop), financed by community funds and developed within the scope of the Porto Energy Hub project, will be available online and physically at Loja do Munícipe, in the Matosinhos City Council building.

 

Matosinhos Energy Hub is available from Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm and will also provide families with the necessary knowledge to reduce energy use costs, at a time marked by the energy crisis in Europe. Additionally, this space will be an important asset in promoting carbon neutrality and energy and environmental sustainability in Matosinhos.

 

The opening of this service was attended by the Mayor of Matosinhos, Luísa Salgueiro, the Vice-President of the Municipality, Carlos Mouta, the Councilor for the Environment and Energy Transition, Manuela Álvares, the Councilor for Culture, Fernando Rocha, the Councilor for of Education, António Correia Pinto, the councilor for Sport, Vasco Pinho, and the executive administrator of the Porto Energy Agency, Rui Pimenta.
